Three Vegetables Men Should Eat: Broccoli, Tomatoes, and Spinach
Many men tend to dismiss "feminine" foods like fruits and vegetables in favor of meat. However, a report from the British Food Research Institute suggests that consuming a certain amount of broccoli, tomatoes, and spinach each week can help prevent prostate cancer.
Broccoli: This groundbreaking study, conducted through human trials, was recently published in the "Journal of Public Library of Science." Researchers divided participants into two groups, with one group consuming four servings of broccoli each week. The results showed that the group eating broccoli had "anti-cancer genes" activated in their bodies, effectively preventing prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men, with 680,000 new cases and 220,000 deaths globally each year. Apart from broccoli, other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and purple cabbage also have anti-cancer effects, so men should include them in their diet as well.
Tomatoes: Tomatoes are another essential vegetable for men. They are not only rich in vitamin C but also contain lycopene, which helps "unclog" the glands and prevent prostate diseases.
Spinach: Spinach contains trace elements of magnesium, which can convert carbohydrates in muscles into usable energy, enhancing male muscle strength. For men, the folic acid and iron in spinach also promote red blood cell synthesis, improve oxygen-carrying capacity in the blood, and accelerate blood circulation. This ultimately enhances the overall quality of men's sexual life. Therefore, men can benefit from including more spinach in their diet. (Translated by Qiu Xiufang)
