Professor Zhang Xueliang from the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine once said, "Those who drown are usually those who know how to swim but become careless." Similarly, young people often think that illness is distant from them, and taking care of their health is something to consider only after reaching their fifties or sixties. This is a mistaken belief.

When I visited Tibet, I found that the young people who experienced severe altitude sickness were often those who rarely exercised at home. On the other hand, elderly individuals who exercised daily didn't face such problems. Young people often feel too busy to exercise. What should they do? They should not make excuses because health preservation is everywhere. By spending just three minutes on each of these eight activities while young, you can age more gracefully.

First 3 Minutes: Brush Your Teeth Morning and Evening

Tooth brushing is an exercise that strengthens the kidneys and teeth. "The kidneys govern bones, and teeth are the remnants of bones." Sun Simiao, a famous physician from the Tang Dynasty, advocated brushing teeth 300 times every morning. Modern medicine also suggests that tooth brushing can enhance the disease resistance and regeneration capability of periodontal tissues, making teeth stronger, more stable, and whiter.

Method: Brush your teeth 36 times, then, after brushing, swallow the saliva in your mouth in three portions. Afterward, switch to pressing and massaging the Laogong acupuncture point on your left hand, then brush your teeth 36 more times. Again, swallow the saliva in your mouth in three portions.

Second 3 Minutes: Forehead Massage in the Morning

Three minutes before getting out of bed in the morning, use your fingers to press your forehead firmly, moving them back and forth dozens of times until your forehead becomes warm. This is beneficial for preventing and treating conditions like headaches, insomnia, nervousness, and memory loss caused by excessive mental exertion.

Third 3 Minutes: Massage Your Ears with Both Hands

In the morning, rub your ears with both hands (press the middle joint of your index finger in front of the ear and use your thumb to press the back of the ear, moving up and down) until they become warm. Continuing this practice helps prevent hearing loss, tinnitus, and declining hearing.

Additionally, make sure to close your eyes while massaging. When you open your eyes after massaging, you'll notice that they suddenly become brighter.

Fourth 3 Minutes: Lift Your Head While Working at a Desk

While working at a desk, occasionally stretch and lift your head. Maintaining a bent-over posture for extended periods can lead to conditions like "cold back," shoulder and elbow bursitis, muscle tension in the head and neck, and lower back pain. Lifting your head consciously during desk work can increase lung capacity, allow you to breathe in more air, reduce spinal curvature, and relax the tension in the muscles of the head, neck, and chest.

Fifth 3 Minutes: Massage the Anus After Bowel Movements

After bowel movements, gently massage the anus and contract it to prevent hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids develop due to poor venous return in the rectal area, leading to decreased elasticity in the blood vessels there. Using clean and soft toilet paper to massage the anus can promote venous return, promptly eliminate stagnant blood and gas, and prevent and treat hemorrhoids.

Sixth 3 Minutes: Comb Your Hair While Walking

Elderly people, especially those with cardiovascular diseases, can try combing their hair while taking post-meal walks. Use your hand to comb your hair from front to back. Combing your hair with your hand can stimulate the meridians in your head, make your thinking clearer, and promote hair health. Consistently combing your hair with your hand can make your hair shinier and slow down the graying process.

Seventh 3 Minutes: Kick Your Legs When You Have Time

Elderly people, especially those with cardiovascular diseases, can kick their lower legs while seated. Kicking your legs can force blood in the leg veins to return more quickly, enhance the heart's blood return capability, and significantly improve blood circulation in the body, which is beneficial for preventing various heart diseases.

During morning exercises or walks, consciously kick your lower legs. For example, use the top of one foot to kick the Shenshu acupuncture point on the calf (located in the middle of the calf), then switch and repeat the process. This exercise enhances the contraction cap
